DIGITAL AG K-12 OUTREACH
Educating our youth in digital agriculture is critical to ensure our ability to feed a growing world population. K-12 outreach efforts will be supported through the development of educational programs, open days, and summer camps to introduce young students to digital agriculture as a career.

Illinois FarmBots for High Schoolers



Overview
FarmBots are an open source CNC farming tool that is widely used in educational programs. The FarmBots enable diverse student-focused projects ranging from sensor data collection to computer vision to plant manipulation with robot arms to IoT programming to weed monitoring to plant biology and many others. This curriculum is primarily designed for High Schools Level students but can be adapted for others.
This project is a collaboration between CDA, AIFARMS, and Illinois 4-H. These materials were developed by Musa Ibrahim, Yiyang Chen, Kendall Koe, Sam Atkinson, Kulbir Singh Ahluwalia and Mark Becker. For more information email digitalag@illinois.edu.

The curriculum package includes an instruction manual for installing the Farmbot and four lessons and two bonus lessons.
